Research Officer - SPD

 

The Surgical & Prosthetic Design (SPD) team, holders of the Queen's Anniversary prize for Higher and Further Education, are pleased to offer an opportunity to join us as a research officer, developing robust academic outputs to support the creation of new patient specific implant design and production methods. 

This position is part of an industry-supported collaborative project exploring design opportunities for application in patient specific implantable device fabrication using additive manufacture, 3d printing and machining. This role will involve undertaking structured literature reviews, developing research methodologies, assisting in the ongoing creation of a programme of research, data gathering and analysis, and writing project and research reports that will inform the generation of research publications and development of new industry best practice.

Research Officer - Design Policy


The Design & Innovation Policy team currently have an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to join us to support the implementation of the project ‘Developing an Action Plan for the Strategic Use of Design in the UK’.

This project is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and is led by Manchester Metropolitan University.
