I’ve always been interested in building and making things and am fascinated by aeroplanes. When I was 14 I was lucky enough to get a guided tour of Concorde. That experience has stayed with me and is what inspired me to later study engineering at Pontypridd College. Following a number of years working at an injection moulding company I moved to PDR in 2007 and have loved working here ever since.
There aren’t many places like PDR. The variety of work that we do in the workshop means it’s never boring. The pressures of delivering a project can be tough, but the feedback from clients when you give them a prototype that brings their ideas to life is fantastic. It’s really motivating to see all the different projects going on across the teams in PDR but the most exciting thing is when you walk into the shops and see something for sale that looks exactly like the prototype you developed months earlier.
